About The Program

Investing in the Future of Aviation

The mission of the GSLBAA Educational Foundation is to promote and advance corporate aviation through educational programs and scholarships. The Foundation was established to encourage young people in the St. Louis region to pursue careers in general aviation by providing scholarships, mentoring opportunities, and early exposure to aviation for students from elementary through high school.

  • Eligibility Requirements

    • Enrolled in an institution offering college-level courses

    • Pursuing a degree in business aviation or aviation-related field

    • Residing in Missouri or Illinois

    • Preparing for careers as pilots, technicians, administrators, ATC, or dispatchers

  • Application Timeline

    • Complete and submit by April 30

    • Board reviews all applications

    • All applicants notified by June 30

Scholarship Opportunities

The GSLBAA Educational Foundation offers scholarships supporting specific aviation education paths, including aircraft maintenance, avionics, A&P testing, and institution based aviation programs. Each award is tied to a defined area of study or school and reflects the Foundation’s commitment to practical aviation careers.

  • Arthur C. (Butch) Giessman Scholarship

    Awarded annually to applicants pursuing a degree or certification in aircraft maintenance.
